All About Us

Welcome to Coast Family! Our practice began based out of Los Angeles, California. Now, we work using a Telehealth model, with clinicians that are based out of various cities in California! This model has enabled our clients to enjoy the convenience and unlimited benefits of therapeutic services. Even in our work with children and teens, we have found incredible results using Telehealth! We have also introduced support groups which help us provide support to folks in other states!

We area  LGBTQIA2S+ affirming practice, and are dedicated to helping children, teens, adults and families live happier, more enriched lives. We believe that it takes courage and a certain amount of fearlessness to reach out for guidance, and are so happy you've found us. Here at Coast Family, we think of the therapy process as a journey of support, allowing us to help you further develop your resiliency skills, to utilize now, and throughout the rest of your lives.

At Coast Family, we do our best to make the therapy experience as welcoming, genuine and individualized as possible. We take a compassionate role in truly understanding your perspectives and life experiences, in order to build trusting therapeutic relationships. Our intention is to provide a warm and supportive space to utilize your current strengths, while developing new coping strategies. Together we will create a clearly identified plan toward lifestyle shifts, and eventual lasting change.

Family at a Beach

Family Therapy

At Coast Family, family therapy sessions are intended to create a space to work together to understand current dynamics that are causing stress. We help families to see that it really is possible to develop new communication styles, and create healthier patterns of behaviors that everyone agrees upon, in order to start enjoying one another again. We will help you “re-frame” your reactions and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles that often occur within our family relationship dynamics.

Couples Therapy

We know that starting the journey of couples therapy can feel daunting. Our goal is to make the couples therapy process feel approachable, manageable and maybe even enjoyable! Dr. Kelsey Holiday, our couples therapy expert, will guide you and your partner through the process, with weekly assignments to make the best use of your time. Our hope is that you will experience a greater understanding of yourselves as individuals, and how these traits impact your relationship as a couple. Clients have told us that exploring their struggles with an un-biased 3rd party can feel like having a "translator" to assist with communication which is a true gift if you've been feeling stuck, angry or frustrated with one another. Some clients call us needing some help in how to suggest couples therapy to their partner- and we are here to help with that, too.

Pebbles on the Sand

Psychological Testing

At times, family members have questions about the way that they learn or relate to others and the world around them. Through the comprehensive diagnostic testing process, we will identify several specific ways to improve overall quality of life, school/job performance, and interpersonal relationships based on scientific interpretation of obtained results.

Attention- Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) Psychological Testing Clinic

Coast Family has a specialized ADHD testing clinic, which is a comprehensive psychological testing experience for individuals (children, teens, and adults) including (but not limited to) the following assessment measures:

  • cognitive assessment of overall strengths/areas needed for improvement in learning style/overall intelligence

  • academic achievement
