Insomnia Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is a treatment for people with difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early. Clients often describe these difficulties as feeling tired while relaxing on the couch, and then the act of getting into bed “flips on a switch” that leaves them feeling wide awake. CBT-I guides people through a series of changes in sleep-related behaviors making easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. Our expert therapists work with clients to design a personally tailored plan that helps them identify and eliminate habits that get in the way of having a good night’s sleep. Therapists work with clients to help them recognize sleep-related worry and reduce unnecessary anxiety around sleep. CBT-I treatment lasts an average of eight sessions, and the benefits can last a lifetime.
